"You're capable. You show up. You keep going. But somewhere underneath all of it — there's a version of you that's been waiting. Quietly. For permission to stop."
This is that permission.
The Sacred Exhale is a 5-night, 6-day retreat in a private Balinese sanctuary, surrounded by nature, held by Tanya and Catherine, and designed to do one thing: bring you home to yourself.
Not the productive version of you. Not the version that has it all together.
You. The real one.
Each morning begins in stillness. We open with japa (sacred mantra repetition) and guided meditation to settle the mind, before moving into kriya and ancient pranayama practices that clear the energetic body, awaken your nervous system gently, and set the tone for a day lived from the inside out.
As the Balinese day softens, so do you. Our evening sessions are slow, intentional, and deeply therapeutic — designed to release what the body has been holding, restore your nervous system, and open your heart. No performance. No pushing. Only the sweetest softening.
A traditional melukat purification ritual at a sacred Balinese water temple. One of the most profound and humbling experiences the island offers — standing beneath holy spring water, releasing what no longer belongs to you. You will emerge lighter than you arrived.
Dewa is a revered Balinese priest and healer whose gift runs deep through generations. In your private session, he will read your energy field, identify what is out of alignment, and guide your body and spirit back into balance. This is not a performance — it is a transmission. Many describe it as the most profound experience of their lives. You will leave recalibrated.
Gathered in circle, we open with the ancient medicine of cacao — revered for thousands of years as a direct pathway to the heart. Prepared ceremonially and drunk with intention, sacred cacao gently dissolves the walls we build around ourselves. It softens the armour, quietens the mind, and invites the heart to speak. In ceremony, we drop in together — sharing, feeling, opening in ways that words alone cannot reach. Expect tears. Expect laughter. Expect a depth of connection you didn't know you were still capable of.
An evening of devotional call-and-response chanting — one of the oldest and most powerful forms of sound healing on earth. No experience is needed, only your willingness to arrive. As voices rise together, something extraordinary happens: the vibration moves through the body, expanding the chest, cracking the heart wide open, and dissolving the sense of separateness we carry. Kirtan doesn't ask you to be good at singing. It asks you to be present. And in that presence, something inside you remembers itself.
An ancient Vedic fire ceremony performed with sacred intention, mantra, and offerings. The fire is alchemical. What you have been carrying — the grief, the resentment, the old stories, the identities that no longer serve — you offer them to the flame, and the flame transforms them. You don't have to carry it out of Bali.
Every breakfast, lunch, and group dinner across all 6 days is lovingly prepared by the retreat's in-house chef — nourishing, seasonal, and made with genuine care. On our final morning, we gather one last time over breakfast before our closing circle. You won't need to think about food once. Simply arrive at the table, be fed, and receive.
Our final morning together is held with intention. After breakfast, we gather in closing circle — a sacred space to integrate, share, and honour what has shifted. We witness each other. We give thanks. And we send you home not the same as you arrived, but more fully yourself. This is how the exhale completes.
We have protected unhurried space in every day for you to do nothing — or everything. Float in the pool. Walk in nature. Journal. Sit in silence. Surrender to a Balinese spa treatment at your own expense. This is not an overscheduled retreat. The exhale takes time.
"A secret sanctuary, nestled in nature — lush, secluded, and completely off the tourist map."
We don't share the location publicly — not because it's a secret, but because this sanctuary deserves to be discovered, not scrolled past.
What we can tell you: it is completely private. Surrounded by Bali's lush, untouched nature. The kind of place that makes you exhale the moment you arrive.
Our sacred space reveals itself to you upon booking.
Open to all genders. No yoga experience required.
Together, we create a container that is safe, sacred, and deeply supportive. With two facilitators present across all 6 days, you will never feel unseen.
Tanya Gorg
Co-FacilitatorTanya Gorg is a breathwork facilitator, yoga teacher, and retreat leader whose work is rooted in one simple belief: that the body already knows how to heal — it just needs the right conditions. For years, Tanya has guided people back to themselves through the transformative power of breath, movement, and sacred ceremony. She leads from lived experience, not just training — having walked her own path of burnout, recalibration, and return. Her facilitation style is warm, grounded, and deeply intuitive. She creates spaces where people feel genuinely held — safe enough to let go, and supported enough to go deep. The Sacred Exhale is an expression of everything she believes a retreat should be: real, nourishing, and permanently life-changing.
Catherine Ann Crane
Co-FacilitatorCatherine is a truly inspired facilitator who loves to reconnect people to their own inner joy and light. She has been teaching yoga for 11 years, mainly vinyasa, yin, and kriya.
